Valentines still clinging on

12 - Valentines still clinging on

Nikon D80
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D @ 68mm, f/1.8, 1/25s exp, iso100, 0EV

Got my new 50m f1.8 lense so had to try it out. The new lens is a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Standard Auto Focus Nikkor Len. So it quickly went on my camera and the first thing that caught my eye in my office was the Valentines flowers that still tried to hang in there. So they become my test subject as a familiarized myself with this new awesome lens. Colors comes out very nicely and lighting conditions in my office leave a bit to desire for photography but the lens pulled out some very good pictures non the less.

Today was one of those wet boring days, cold, gray and rainy. Nothing was uplifting and was really hard to get motivated and going in the morning so todays 365 project picture is t capture the general mood of the day.

7/365 – Buell Lightning S1 Engine

I love motors on wheels. So today I went out to my back garage since it was a pretty decent day when it comes to temperature (back garage is not heated). Light conditions really suck so brought my Nikon CLS flashes with me out there and had some ideas what I wanted to try.

Received my new low light lens today. Picture of the lens box is taken with the new lens. It’s very sweet. Fast zoom and very good pictures. This picture was taken in regular room light with TV in the background.

Project 365

It takes thousands of  hours to become an expert in a field, and in the world of photography that roughly translates to about numerous pictures a day for years. It sounds daunting, but if you keep it light, stay passionate, and shoot what you love to shoot, you’ll look back one day soon at an incredible portfolio of work that is all you.

I ran across some people that was doing mostly365 / picperday / project365, a way to encouraging you to shoot and share one photo a day for 365 days. To help with this challenge, there are sites like the one created by @mostlylisa  Mostly365.com — which is a website where you share your daily photos with the world with one tweet, or if your not into Twitter there are numerous flickr.com groups (mostly365, FlickrToday just to mention a couple).

So idea is to snap a pic with any camera that you have access to. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a state-of-the-art dSLR, your cell phone camera or that dreaded webcam the important thing is to start taking more photos and start thinking how, what and why.

So here you can find in the above slide show my complete list of entries into my Project365. There will be a new blog post every day with the latest picture and I will try to post comment why this picture was chosen.
